Terms of Use

Version 2026-08-23 · Effective 23 August 2026

These Terms govern your use of Rechord, operated by Mike Sabadash (“Rechord”, “we”, “us”). By creating or connecting an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Rechord provides tools for creating, displaying, importing, exporting and sharing guitar chords, tablature, notation and related media. Features may change as the product develops.

2. Accounts and Patreon

You may sign in through Patreon. A Patreon account is separate from Rechord and is also governed by Patreon’s terms. Signing in does not itself provide Premium access. Premium is included while Patreon reports an active paid membership to the configured Mike Sabadash campaign. Any paid tier qualifies unless stated otherwise at purchase. Access may be updated or withdrawn when membership status changes.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of content you create. You grant Rechord a non-exclusive licence to host, process, reproduce and display content only as needed to operate features you choose, including public sharing. You must have the rights necessary to upload or publish content and must not infringe copyright, privacy or other rights.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, bypass access controls, interfere with security, upload unlawful or malicious material, scrape at harmful scale, impersonate others, or use Rechord to violate applicable law.

5. Payments and cancellation

Paid memberships, billing, refunds and cancellation are handled by Patreon under Patreon’s rules. Rechord does not directly charge your payment method. Cancelling or losing an eligible paid membership may remove Premium access while preserving your account and data where technically available.

6. Availability and exports

The service and generated musical output are provided on an “as available” basis. You are responsible for checking notation, tablature and exported files before relying on or publishing them. Keep backups of important work.

7. Suspension

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, non-payment, abuse or breach of these Terms.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rechord is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, revenue or opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Changes

Material changes will be published with a new version date. Where required, you will be asked to accept the updated Terms before continuing.
